Dr. Bora Yücel completed his primary and secondary education in the district of Zile in the Tokat province. He then completed his medical education at the Erciyes University School of Medicine in 2002.
Following medical school, Dr. Yücel fulfilled his mandatory service at the Altınova Health Clinic in Tekirdağ as part of the State Service Obligation program. He then completed his military service as a Medical Lieutenant at the Kocaeli Gulf Air Radar Base under the Turkish Air Force. He worked for a period of time at the Turkish Red Crescent Blood Services in Kayseri.
Starting from 2008, Dr. Yücel completed his specialty education in the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at the Erciyes University School of Medicine with a thesis titled "Saving the Stasis Zone in Burns with Pentoxifylline: An Experimental Study in Rats". His thesis was presented at the International Society for Burn Injuries (ISBI) 2014 congress in Sydney, Australia, and was later published in the Journal of Burn Care & Research, one of the most prestigious journals in the field. After his residency, he fulfilled his mandatory service at the Sivas Numune Hospital.
After working at Elmalı and Kepez State Hospitals in Antalya, Dr. Yücel left the Ministry of Health and started working at his own clinic in Antalya in 2019 to provide his patients with a better quality of care. He performs surgeries at private hospitals in Antalya with which he has contracts. His special interests include body contouring with liposuction, abdominoplasty, breast aesthetics, rhinoplasty, and periocular aesthetics.
